Mostly due to the undying love given to Black Dynamite by me, Elwood, and to a lesser extent Johnny Slick, PopBunker.net has developed quite a nice relationship with Wax Poetics which is the label for the genre and stylistically perfect Black Dynamite soundtrack. The fine folks over there have been good enough to give us a few exclusives and limited promotional materials regarding the film Black Dynamite.
Adrian Younge is the master behind the Black Dynamite Original Score (purchase link) and there is a new video out for one of the soundtrack songs, “Shot Me in the Heart.”
The song features authentic 70s style production inspired by blaxploitation films and 70s Motown charters. Additionally the excellent video pulls no vintage punches in displaying the style and flavor of the era in an excellent smoke and whisky night club performance.
About the promotion:
My name is Damian from Wax Poetics and I’m reaching out about the music video premiere of “Shot Me In The Heart” by Adrian Younge and the Black Dynamite Sound Orchestra. Wax Poetics produced the video as part of the Converse 45 Series, where we package a limited 45RPM record with each issue of the magazine.
We are fans of [Pop Bunker] and would be grateful if you would post this video and share it with your community…
