One joys of traveling is discovering little gems in local pockets of entertainment. I lived and grew up in and around Charleston, WV and the city has always had one thing going for it from a cultural perspective: A thriving theater community with three large community or professional theater groups.
Several regulars* from that scene as well as other improv specialists make up one of the premiere improv troupes in the mid-Atlantic and Appalachia region. They’re called The No Pants Players.
It’s criminal that these guys don’t syndicate more of their efforts online. Below is a skit all about Felecia Day’s twits. If you know what I mean.
If you like what you see, go to NoPantsPlayers.com and let these guys and gals know that they should be making more available for online fans. [NPP member Jeff Bukovinsky recently outlined for me a web series he would like to do where the basic premise is a burnt-out Jim Morrison as a private detective. The lines that he ran by me were howl-inducing. This has to be made and we at Pop Bunker and our readers can be ahead of the curve; in the know before these guys break into the big time.]
*Full disclosure: Two of the groups members are long-time friends of mine.
